A session with me
I support my clients in making goals toward their health, and see to it that they leave my sessions feeling accomplished and more attuned with themselves and their bodies. I wish for my sessions to be inspiring and impactful while creating lasting results.
I have the knowledge and skills along with the intuitive sense to provide a session that will not only be therapeutic and effective but also supportive to the nervous system. I believe the body needs to feel safe and confident in the hands of a professional for the deep work to be done effectively. It is my goal to create that trust and ease with my clients during our time together. Nothing makes me happier to be of witness to someone that is feeling deeply nourished comfortable in their body.
REGISTERED MASSAGE THERAPY
Common modalities used in a therapeutic massage
Swedish Massage works on a superficial level focusing on long rhythmic strokes in the direction of bringing blood back to the heart which is beneficial for circulation and very relaxing.
Deep tissue Massage is slow and steady focusing on going past the facial layer and realigning deeper layers of muscle tissues. Beneficial in breaking down stubborn knots and relieving tension patterns held in the tissues.
Myofascial release is a manual therapy technique often used in massage. The technique focuses on pain believed to arise from myofascial tissues — the tough membranes that wrap, connect and support your muscles. Myofascial release techniques focus on releasing and stretching the fascia.
Trigger point therapy is a type of massage designed to trigger point pain in specific areas of the body. These points, also called knots, are usually located in muscle tissue and can cause pain when they become irritated or inflamed. Trigger point Therapy helps release these tense, painful knots in your muscles and fascia.
Joint mobilization - a gentle, often oscillatory, passive movement applied to a joint with the intent to increase passive range and/or achieve a therapeutic effect.
