"It is a beautiful thing, when a career and a passion come together. The connection I create with my clients, and the transformations I am witness to is what continues to inspire and cultivate a deep presence in my work . I love what I do, and it gives me great purpose to be in a position to educate and support others"
A brief history......
In 2007 I graduated from Vancouver School of Bodywork and Massage as a Certified Bodywork Practitioner. I later went on to obtain my level one and level two Deep Flow bodywork, alignment and mindfulness training. This training was deeply profound for my understanding of the body and personal development as a bodyworker. It shaped the way in which I work with the body and refined my manual therapy skills.
In 2012 I completed my enriched Yoga Teacher training certification. This training inspired my work allowing me the knowledge to suggest yoga postures to my clients to help further support them in their goals to find balance in their bodies.
My career then drew me to the study of Manual Osteopathy. I wanted to learn specifically about the bones, joints and all the systems in the body that work together allowing us to function as a whole. In January 2015 I Graduated with my Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice (DOMP) allowing me the knowledge and skills to incorporate specific techniques and refined palpation to work with the body and aid in its functionality.
Another one of my passions that I have been fortunate enough to incorporate into my career is teaching. For two consecutive years I had the pleasure to be a part of the faculty of Vancouver School Of Bodywork and Massage. I was involved in many positions starting off as a teachers assistant and clinic supervisor and was then asked to take on the role of Student Liaison for the school. It was an honour to be contributing to such a wonderful program and very humbling to be back at the very place that my journey began.
My next professional goal was to obtain my diploma in Massage Therapy and become registered in BC. In June of 2021 I graduated from a two year 2220 hour Massage Therapy program and after successfully completing my board exams I became registered with the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia.
As I evolve, so does my work. Always moving forward with a sense of wonder and room for learning. I look forward to what shall come next for me and my commitment to this work and and how I can continue to enjoy this journey while connecting and making a positive impression on people’s lives. I prioritize receiving regular bodywork by other practitioners, so I can continue to appreciate, learn and feel the positive shifts that are created when receiving. We all deserve to experience how it feels to receive therapeutic and nurturing touch.
“To receive from Christine is truly a therapeutic experience.
She has the gift to lead you to deep and unfamiliar areas of yourself, and unwind what holds you back from your full potential. I always emerge refreshed and ready to embrace life and love again after a session with her!
